DL Take: The Galaxy Buds On might be priced a touch high at $229, but Samsung does quality audio and clip-on earbuds, which allow you to remain connected to your surroundings, are the new wave.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds On are the next wireless earbuds on their way to the US. After quiet announcements overseas, Samsung has finally shared pricing and a launch date for our shores.

The Galaxy Buds On, which are a clip-on style of earbud that allows you to receive premium audio while being connected to your surroundings, arrive in early November in the US. They will cost $229.

These types of buds rest lightly on your ears, yet do not block them. The idea here is that you can still hear your surroundings while enjoying quality audio. Examples of similar earbuds from competitors would be the Nothing’s Ear (open) and the Anker AeroClip 2.

As far as features for the Galaxy Buds On, Samsung included TwinBoost speakers with automatic volume control based on your external environment, Audio Leakage Reduction tech that prevents sound from leaking out (in case you were worried about your audio noise spreading to your surroundings), and a clear call technology.

These are modern earbuds, so they can fire up Gemini and Gemini Live sessions, head gestures allow you to answer/end calls/dismiss alarms, and the Galaxy Wearable app will give you further audio tuning controls.

These buds feature the Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform with Class-D amplifier, including up to 9.5 hours of continuous music playback.

Again, launch is “early” November and a price of $229 for the Galaxy Buds On in black.
