Discord has become a treasure trove of useful information, but finding it through Google has often felt like a treasure hunt with no map. That could finally change, though some users aren’t thrilled about the possibility of their conversations appearing in Google search results.

The company is introducing privacy controls ahead of the rollout, giving both server administrators and individual users a chance to keep their conversations off the wider web.
