Sherrod Brown, I am about to vote for you for a second time within a couple of years, not because I support your progressive inclinations, but because you are, again, the lesser of two evils. Your progressive views and tendency to vote as directed by the Democratic Party rather than demonstrating an independence of thought have always troubled me.
I believe that you and your party will win many seats next month, possibly control of both the House and Senate, because people like me are fed up. Please do not believe for a minute that we agree with many items on your traditional progressive agenda. My fear is that you and others will assume otherwise and return to an agenda with unrealistic, unfinanced programs.
